The Toronto Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association is pleased to offer Level 2 teacher training in Toronto this October, starting with the Conscious Communication course. We are very excited to have Dr. Gurucharan Singh, Director of KRI training, and Dr. Krishna Kaur here to lead this course. It is our intention to offer you one of the five Level 2 courses here in Toronto each year.

Welcome to Conscious Communication. This course is crafted from the core teachings of Yogi Bhajan to challenge, uplift and transform you. This course will give you the experiences to set your direction for a lifetime of practice and exploration of effective communication guided by the insights and techniques shared with us by Yogi Bhajan.

You will learn to speak, meditatively and intuitively, not just talk. You will learn to gather your energy and awareness to support what you intend to communicate. The purpose of communication is to discharge your whole self, directly and completely. The manner of conscious communication is to do it with awareness, kindness and fearlessness.

Conscious Communication is one of the five Level 2 modules that are required for Level 2 certification as a KRI Kundalini Yoga Practitioner.

  • This six day course gives you tools to effectively communicate with yourself and with others and to speak from the voice of your soul.
  • We approach effective communication as an art. Over the course of the six days we work together to create an experience of transformation in your ability to communicate effectively as an individual and a teacher.
  • We explore the difference between normal communication and conscious communication. We examine some very real patterns in communication which challenge each of us such as gossip and deception and experience ways to drop these old patterns and move forward with a new reality.
  • We experience what harmonious communication feels like, what are its qualities and how it differs from regular talking and communicating.
  • We practice the art of speaking effectively in public and private and speaking intuitively without fear.
  • We explore the realm of deep listening and the art of silence as the heart of communication. We practice these skills and more deeply examine Naad and the use of mantra to take us to a place of stillness, silence and deep listening.
  • We examine the impact of our words and learn to use our words, sound and the power of our voice to deeply penetrate so that our message can be filled with prana and impact.
  • We learn to apply our intuition to deep listening and to understand what is below the surface.
  • We examine how we simultaneously hear and perceive; how we remain alert in the midst of distraction.
  • We examine the difference between speaking, talking and dialogue.
  • We explore the different qualities of communicating from each chakra. Through fun games, exercises and meditations we learn how to assess which chakra someones communication is coming from.
  • We practically explore, through fun group exercises, how to maintain conscious communication when you are being attacked.
  • We identify our reactive personality, the shadow side of our self, our hidden self and hidden agenda. We look at each of these facets of our being and experience a transformation from our limiting patterns to a radiant real self and identity.
  • We learn how to establish a dynamic relationship and conversation with the unknown and how to more effectively utilize prayer to tap into our strength, radiance and effectiveness.

The course is fun, powerful and amazing. It will challenge you to the core. Through amazing kriyas and meditations you are carried to heights which transform every cell of your being.

Through group activities, writing and creative process work we gain an understanding of our own limiting patterns and how to change them.

The manual and shared wisdom of the Trainers presentations will give you a deep anchoring into how to effectively utilize conscious communication to become a better teacher and more excellent human being.
