Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training

Through the direct guidance of Yogi Bhajan, the Aquarian Teacher Training program has been divided into three stages:

KRI Level 1: Foundations and Awakening—Instructor
KRI Level 2: Transformation—Practitioner
KRI Level 3: Realization—Teacher

Level 2—Transformation

This is the second stage of training and personal development. It is fundamentally different from the first stage in which you established the foundations for becoming a teacher and for a lifetime of personal practice.

Level 2 consists of 5 separate modules that can be taken in any order, by KRI Level 1 certified instructors. It is our goal to offer at least one module each year in Toronto. Each is a 60-hour course with 48 classroom hours (6 days) and 12 hours of independent study. The home study component is 90 days following the in-class intensive.

The modules are:

  • Conscious Communication
  • Authentic Relationships
  • Mind and Meditation
  • LifeCycles and LifeStyles
  • Vitality and Stress

The second stage is about the transformation and deepening of your own core capacities, character and consciousness. The essence of this stage is about establishing the ability to use your applied mind, applied intelligence and applied awareness.

This is why at least two years of teaching experience is required during your mastery of the five modules of study contained in this stage. This gives you the opportunity to apply the ideas, habits and techniques to yourself, both in your own life, and to a broad range of different classes and students.

Vitality & Stress—November 2009

The Toronto Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association is pleased to offer our third year of Level 2 teacher training in Toronto this November with Vitality & Stress. We are very excited to have Dr. Gurucharan Singh, Director of KRI training, and Dr. Krishna Kaur return to lead this course. It is our intention to offer one of five Level 2 courses each year.

Welcome to Vitality & Stress. Cultivate the core skill for this coming age—the ability to recognize stress in ourselves and others, and develop the tools to transform it and balance it with conscious relaxation. Kundalini Yoga prepares each of us to be teachers who act with undaunted spirit, exalted caliber and character, and the vitality to cross every crisis.

This course is a chance to look closely at how we react to, cope with and master our stress, and strengthen our vitality.

  • Explore Your Vitality and Recognize Consciousness as the Core of Vitality
  • Identify Your Stress
  • Heal Cold Depression and Emotional Fatigue
  • Relieve, Relax, Recharge
  • Realize the Victory of the Spiritual Warrior

Experience the Master, Yogi Bhajan, in daily video classes and meditations. Study with senior trainers. Work individually and in groups exploring the nature of our stress identity as individuals and cross-culturally. Use kriyas and meditations as well as other processes to identify our stressors and the tools you will need to balance and uplift ourselves and others.

At the close of this course, each participant should be able to affirm:

I cultivate my core vitality to honour and use the opportunities that come with each breath—to receive them as a gift. I recognize the value of my physical and energetic bodies and take steps to maintain them. I thrive under stress and challenge; I am a spiritual warrior who leads, uplifts and delivers effective decisions. I practice a lifestyle that incorporates continuous preventative habits for vitality and victory. I have the mental and spiritual endurance to cross every crisis and be a beacon to navigate and excel in the Aquarian Age.

The great pressures of modern society... can be relieved by this science of the whole person which is known as Kundalini Yoga.Yogi Bhajan
