KUNDALINI YOGA HEALTH CONNECTIONS

Ancient Healing Technology for Todays Health

WHO WE ARE

Kundalini Yoga Health Connections (KYHC) is a non-profit organization that uses the age-old practice and disciplines of Kundalini Yoga to deliver unique, effective, customized programs to health care, education, corporate, cultural and public organizations. Our specialized courses, rooted in these traditions, are designed to complement a wide spectrum of conventional treatment programs in areas including cancer, diabetes, cardiac care, mental health disorders, asthma, HIV/AIDs, womens issues (prenatal, postnatal, breast health, menopause), geriatrics, chronic pain, addictions, stress management and disease prevention.

The primary objective of KYHC is to be a global resource assisting individuals and organizations to acquire the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual fitness to optimize their health, and realize their ultimate human potential through the technology of Kundalini Yoga.

WHAT IS KUNDALINI YOGA?

Kundalini yoga is a tool to achieve self mastery, and one of the oldest forms of human development. It is at least 5000 years old. Kundalini yoga is the original and one of the most powerful of the twenty two schools of yoga, all of which are beneficial. It incorporates stretching as well as an energetic aerobic workout with breath coordination. All yoga sets are designed to work on specific body systems, such as the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, endocrine or reproductive system.

Additionally each set helps to balance emotional as well as mental patterns, and works towards greater awareness and centeredness.

Physical postures (asana), meditation. mantra, and breathing exercises (pranayama), as well as relaxation techniques are all part of the practice. Kundalini Yoga is the science of the total self. It helps those who practice it to reduce and manage stress effectively, to stay emotionally balanced, as well as physically and mentally strong and healthy.

The word Kundalini refers to the hidden, latent potential that we each have inside of us. Yoga means yoke or union, the merging of the individual creative consciousness with the infinite Creative Consciousness. Practicing Kundalini yoga brings us back in touch with our three-fold nature: body, mind and spirit.
